Upgrading SE via Ultimate pack, vs physical LE

Hello, I've had the standard copy of Injustice 2 for sometime now. I've enjoyed it a lot, and am interested in purchasing the DLC to experience the game in its entirety. The LE edition for PS4 (physical) as well as the ultimate pack upgrade (digital) are currently either discounted at some retailers or below MSRP on PSN store. Before purchasing, I'm requesting some help from this knowledgeable community to make an informed decision. My questions are the following:

1) I gathered from sources online that the physical copy of LE does not have any included vouchers. Is the extra content actually on disc, or is the disc simply used to verify the LE in order to then download content from digital storefront? In other words, the latter scenario would mean installing the game for the first time on a console would require an internet connection in order to download the additional characters etc. Rather than say, putting in the disc and having a full roster amiable without any need for an internet connection.

2) Apart from the exclusion on Darkseid in the Ultimate Pack, and in inclusion of the god/ demon shaders, are there any other differences between upgrading from the SE via Ultimate pack vs purchasing the LE edition? The only other difference from what I understand is the LE edition comes with the "Bruce Wayne" premier skins, where as the Ultimate pack does not. Is my understanding correct? If the Ultimate pack is missing a particular premier, could it not then be obtained via source crystals?
