Just started playing this game again. Who do y’all recommend?

I had this game on my ps4 and got a bunch of people up to level 30 and had all this crazy shit unlocked. I gave all that to my little brother when I moved out so he could have some fun, and I recently purchased this game again for my Xbox. I've played with pretty much everyone so I need an outside opinion. Which character is fun to play with but isn't crazy overused (Batman, Flash, Sub Zero, etc). I gotta level up someone to level 30 for these multiverse events thought I'd make the grind more fun. Please hit me with some fun character recs, thanks!

So anyone got 1600k score in this "one chance" 12 fights tower in the 3rd guild multiverse? Is it real in the first place or is it a bug? because the score seems to be really inadequate, I did 11 superfinishers, 21 transitions and some interactions but still cant pass 1550000
