Man I really want to see some of these Suicide Squad characters in the next game

    Posted: 06 Aug 2021 08:12 AM PDT

Maybe as just DLC since most of them are less show-stopping than Batman or Superman...but playing as weasel or rat catcher 2 would be insane.

What character should I start playing?

    Posted: 06 Aug 2021 06:23 AM PDT

So I just bought I2 and was wondering what character would fit my playstyle. In MK I usually play Kano or Erron Black, in Skullgirls Fukua and in Tekken Hwoarang. Any idea which comes closests?

    Active Guilds?

    Posted: 06 Aug 2021 03:58 PM PDT

Looking for an active guild. I'm nothing impressive, profile level 77 and all my characters are level 30, but I'm not super good at the game. Just looking for a guild that performs decently but is pretty active, as I'll play a little bit every other day at minimum.

Is ultimate edition worth it if you already own legendary edition?

    Posted: 06 Aug 2021 08:47 AM PDT

I have IJ2 Legendary Edition with the 10 DLC characters and 5 premiere skins. I kinda want to buy the Ultimate Edition to get the God and Demon Shaders, but it costs 53.49. Is it worth it?

Anyone have any tips for playing Bane?

    Posted: 06 Aug 2021 12:27 PM PDT

I'm new to the game, and fairly new to fighting games, and I tried a couple of characters and ended up liking Bane. I've been having trouble landing attacks, starting and continuing combos, and I have a hard time recovering from attacks. Anyone have any tips or suggestions, good moves to use/combo starters, or any strategy tips for Bane? Thanks a lot!

I3 Story and Roster Ideas (Long Warning)

    Posted: 06 Aug 2021 11:58 AM PDT

Here is my personal idea for the story and roster of I3. I will be giving a brief synopsis of the story followed by character choices and why they fit into the narrative. I am going to be generous with 30 base roster spots as I hope that developments in tech and next gen consoles will allow for a larger base roster and then follow up with 9 dlc characters release over three packs.

The story picks up from the Batman ending of I2, with the new Justice League. After the recent global attack and ensuing fight between Batman and Superman, Maxwell Lord hacks into his and Batman's mutual creation Brother Eye. It activates the OMACs and wages war on the New Justice League and all other meta-humans in order to prevent the destruction of the world by another meta-human war. In a desperate attempt, Batman sends a squad of the new league members into the past (by way of dimensional travel from I1 or Rip Hunter npc) in order to prevent Brother Eye from being developed and to possibly prevent the Rise of the Regime.

These new members must convince the heroes of the past to trust them of what the future may hold all the while preparing to defend themselves from Maxwell Lord as well as the newly paranoid Lex Luthor after discovering his best friend would kill him and attempt world domination. In his paranoia, Lex Luthor assembles a team capable of preventing the end of the world, dubbing them The Legion of Doom.

Meanwhile while Lex and Superman begin a war for the future, Maxwell Lord unleashes the full power of Brother Eye and the OMACs. Batman having developed it, assembles a team of heroes to incapacitate Brother Eye and take down Maxwell Lord who has incorporated Brother Eye into his own body, giving him full control over Brother Eye. Or is it the way around? All the while the heroes from the future face the possibility of erasing themselves from the timeline but press on in order to save the world from a much more grim fate.

Once all threats have been destroyed, Luthor in prison and Brother Eye deactivated, Batman and Superman announce they are retiring from being heroes full time. Batman's zealous attitude and Superman's unchecked power have lead to issues all around. They will be around if they are needed but from now on the future rests with the next generation.

Once Batman and Superman step down the time travelers fade away but leave with the promises that they are still out there and would prefer to have the heroes they have come to know and love as their mentors. With that The Justice League seeks out these new heroes in hopes of getting a fresh start on a hopeful future…

After a prison break we see Lex utilizing the time traveling equipment in a remote CADMUS location. He speaks into a portal created by the time travelers equipment calling for Regime Superman. The other side answers, "Call me Ultraman".

Roster Picks (Base Roster and DLC)

    1. Batman: An obvious pick as he has been and will be a mainstay of the franchise. Will be the catalyst for kicking off the story by sending the New Leaguers off to save the timeline. Will experience a character arc that challenges not only Batman in a physical and strategic way but also in his internalized beliefs held about his teammates and why he developed Brother Eye in the first place.

    2. Superman: an obvious second pick as once again he has been a pillar character for the franchise. Since this story will take place before the killing of the Joker, we will be dealing with a much more rational Superman. He will be faced with the possibility and truth that he was willing to kill his friends for power, a realization that will rock him and the League to its core.

    3. Wonder Woman: a version of this character that we can root for and love. IMO Wonder Woman has unjustly suffered in the Injustice Universe and while I understand it's about good heroes breaking bad, that does not mean we create a cheap Superman hook-up out of an iconic character. In this story she stands out as a league member willing to care for both Batman and Superman as they struggle with the actions of their future selves.

    4. The Flash: As someone who has frequently shifted and affected the timeline, Flash is uneasy about the newcomers and their mission to change the timeline but is willing to help in order to prevent a future where the world is destroyed.

    5. Green Lantern (Corps): With the possibility of alternative customizable skins like MK11, we could see each iteration of Earth's Green Lantern. Of course there is always the argument about constructs but hey let's suspend disbelief. Not only do we get the Justice League members of Hal, John, and Guy but also a new lantern from the future timeline that was chosen after Hal was defeated by OMACs (Kyle or Jessica).

    6. Aquaman: The King of Atlantis is always ready to defend his kingdom and if the best way to do that is to prevent Superman from waging war on the world, then he will do it. (Hopefully Ocean Master Premier Skin)

    7. Cyborg: Shaken by his role in the regime, he isolates himself from the league and the Titans in order to prevent himself from undertaking any further action as he believes this is what is best for the timeline.

    8. Martian Manhunter: Utilizing his telepathic skills, he is able to read the thoughts and memories of the time travelers and is able to share their visions with the other League members proving their validity. Seeing this future he is on board for preventing the future timeline.

    9. Supergirl: One of the members of the time traveling squad, she is there with the goal to save her cousin from becoming the monster of the future. She sees this as a second chance to do what she couldn't with the Kal-El of her timeline.

    10. Blue Beetle: Weapons expert and overall fanboy, Blue Beetle is excited to see the League of the past but is particularly haunted about the loss of heroic mentors in the future timeline.

    11. Aqualad: a toss up choice for me but as I have always felt the game could use more characters from different families, I feel confident in this one. Aqualad, in hopes of redeeming the sins of his father and as a last act of service to his fallen king, took it upon himself to join the New Justice League. Could have some fun interactions with Aquaman regarding maybe Tempest as his current ward or his lineage.

    12. Nightwing: As current leader of the Titans and with an undying loyalty to Batman, his role is a complicated one. On one hand, he must maintain the morale of the Titans but also face the fact that he was murdered by Damian and saw Batman plot against all meta-humans regardless if they were friends.

    13. Beast Boy: Always the optimist is happy to help the new leaguers get comfortable in the new timeline.

    14. Raven: A loyal member of the Titans, Raven is suspicious of a recent addition to the team but that is put out of head as she is exposed to future where she becomes a vessel of Trigon. She contemplates what that means for her place on the team, her friends, and her future with Beast Boy.

    15. Shazam: Terrified of what happened to him in the future, Billy is weary of ever transforming back into a child in order to always protect himself. Billy has lost a lot of trust in the League and contemplates his role as a hero.

    16. Lex Luthor: Once childhood best friend of Superman, he now fully sees what Clark is capable of. While he does not want to turn against his friend and the League, he must do what he can to prevent a meta-human war. He enlists the help of Batman's colleague Maxwell Lord to use Brother Eye to locate other meta-humans that could incapacitate the league but then be taken down by Brother Eye's defenses. He dubs this team, The Legion of Doom.

    17. Joker: Hearing word of what his plan brought on the world, Joker attempts to top it instead of replicate it, insisting that "retelling a joke isn't funny". He sets off to plan an even greater cataclysm one that brings him into conflict with both the League and the Legion.

    18. Harley Quinn: Upon hearing that she betrays Joker, she is kicked out of the Joker's service and is apprehended almost immediately. She is then recruited to be apart of Task force X where she has been chosen to lead both King Shark and Captain Boomerang in a strike mission to capture these time travelers for questioning regarding Superman's future regime.

    19. Captain Boomerang: A seasoned member of task force x, he is disgruntled that he was not chosen as leader of this new mission. Yet any chance to cut years off his sentence inspires him to be deadly accurate at killing whatever Waller puts infront of him.

    20. King Shark: A hulking beast that has not only beef with Aquaman but also other members of the League, he is more than keen to follow Harley into a scrap with the heroes.

    21. Ra's al Ghul: Leader of the League of Assasin's and longtime enemy of Batman, he relishes at the change to join the Legion of Doom. Not only is he hoping to strike a blow against Batman and Superman's future quest for power, he is protecting his interest in his pupil Damian.

    22. Circe: The sorceress joins the Legion of Doom to rid the world of Wonder Woman and this new Amazon from the future. Nothing opposing her power must be left standing.

    23. Black Manta: Enraged by the fact that his son is metahuman and sides with Aquaman to boot, Black Manta stands ready to fight for the Legion of Doom in hopes of capturing his son and killing his false mentor.

    24. Sinestro: Now having the might of the Legion as well as the Yellow Lantern Corp, this is the perfect oppertunity to dismantle the Guardian's favorite champions and stake a claim to Earth after it is all over.

    25. Deathstroke: Upon hearing about the arrival of these new young heroes, Deathstroke is determined to not let the Titans grow their numbers. If the Legion is his vehicle of doing so, then so be it.

    26. Mirror Master: While not the strongest Flash enemy Luthor could find, his infiltration skills are exactly what they need to get the Legion into the Watchtower, Hall of Justice, Titans Tower, and anywhere else they might need to go.

    27. Terra: A new member of the Teen Titans, Terra has secretly been working undercover with Deathstroke in order to infiltrate and destroy them from within. The arrival of these new young heroes from the future has forced Deathstroke to move up their timeline but is it truly worth it for her to turn on her new friends?

    28. John Constantine: Never one to actively seek out the company of the Justice League, the arrival of time travelers from the end of the world does indeed pique his interest. Constantine observes from afar, not wanting to meddle but has that sickening feeling that he isn't going to get to sit on the sidelines for this one.

    29. Amazo: Having collected the powers of multiple Justice League members throughout time, it makes him an excellent candidate to act as an enforcer for the Legion of Doom.

    30. Black Adam: Ruling from Khandaq, Black Adam sees the Legion as his own puppets, a force that if properly aligned with will serve the ideals of himself and the people of Khandaq.

    31. (Pre-Order Bonus) Starro the Conqueror: Seeking a surge of power from the arrival of the time travelers, Starro is drawn to Earth in order to add a slew of meta-humans to his army.

    32. (DLC PK1) Etrigan: Jason Blood and his "partner" Etrigan are disturbed by the shifting of magical forces since the arrival of the time travelers. They particularly are concerned with John Constantine on whatever role he may play in this chaos. The demon is beginning to rise.

    33. (DLC PK2) Mera: The wife of Aquaman, she has seen some of the most trying times for the King of Atlantis. In the face of a future that threatens her king and kingdom, she will meet any opposition head-on at her husbands side.

    34. (DLC PK1 Guest) He-Man: The clashing and melding of so many timelines has opened an inter dimensional gate from Eternia. Prince Adam now surrounded by flying men in capes and monsters of all sorts, calls on the power of Greyskull so he too can show he has the power to stand up to evil!

    35. (DLC PK2) Donna Troy: A Titan seeking to preserve the Amazon image, Donna Troy has arrived to help protect these newcomers and work to ensure that her found family is safe. She also wants to be there in case Diana should ever choose to go astray.

    36. (DLC PK2) Nekron: Once pleased with all the death of the meta-humans in the future, Nekron has now sought out to keep that future in place. He will succeed if that means killing every last person.

    37. (DLC PK2 Guest) Sandman "Dream": Now free from his tortuous captivity, Dream arrives in an unfamiliar world with futures of untold horror and destruction. While the price for interfering with mortal affairs has always been high, Dream now sets out to protect The Dreaming and the balance that need be restored.

    38. (DLC PK3) Plastic Man: While never one to take things too seriously, Plastic Man does grasp the severity of this situation. Standing by, Plastic Man is ready to help out in any flexible way he can.

    39. (DLC PK3) Vandal Savage: A world where Vandal Savage is not in it, is not a world he wants at all. Vandal Savage with his eons of knowledge, must do everything he can to ensure that his existence is assured. Even if it comes to the most extreme measures.

    40. (DLC PK3 Guest) Shang Tsung: After discovering a pathway frequently traveled by the likes of Raiden, Scorpion, and Sub-Zero Shang Tsung has found a world full of new powers and new souls to collect. With the League of Assasins fortress in sight and the Lazarus pit his path to immortality, the only thing left to do is to begin the tournament.

A possible fun idea for I3

    Posted: 05 Aug 2021 09:43 PM PDT

Either as an event or preorder bonus each character gets a special customizable skin like MK11 titled "Conquered" with a baby Starro on their face and gets a slight distortion to their voice. A fun way to introduce a character into game outside of taking up a character slot. Definitely not saying that Starro couldn't hold his own character slot but just a fun idea

    Easy Combo Requirement Characters

    Posted: 06 Aug 2021 06:07 AM PDT

Uh... Why are Cheatahs combo requirements so easy compared to all the other characters? Legit, her combo requirements are so easy, Meter Burned Bloodlunge and Meter Burned Primal Rage, both of which I used regularly without even knowing they will requirements. I am really surprised there are so so little amount of people who have her legendary Sure, she has the 3000 minute requirement which is pretty tough, but the rest of pretty easy I honestly can't believe I've been wasting my time with other characters that have loads of complicated combo requirements lol

Admittedly I am incredibly good with Cheatah, but I am just surprised at how easy her requirements are
