Captain Cold tips.

I may be a little late to the ballgame here, but I'm looking for some Captain Cold tips and tricks. My friend and I have just started replaying Injustice 2 and I've chosen Captain Cold and he's chosen Batman to play. It seems that whenever he gets right up in my face there's not much I can do as Captain Cold other than spam The Wall and try to back dash to create space, but even that seems a little ambitious at times with Batman's fast slide attack. We're currently pretty even in matches won against one another, but it seems like unless I can play good keep away he's the winner.

I understand that Batman is much higher on the tier list than Captain Cold is, but we aren't exactly pros so I didn't really think it mattered. I'm looking for some tips from some experienced Captain Cold mains/secondaries that could help me out here. I know his combo strings and specials, and even some good juggle combos. I'm looking for advanced tips that can really help me push my play to the next level.
