Tips for competing online

Thought I would do a post on this to share a few thoughts that have worked for me.

Gear: the single most important thing online, more importantly is using it wisely. A1: Astro harness- the single most important gear in the game and it's really not close imo. DO NOT PUT YOUR ASTRO GEARED CHARACTER IN THE FIRST SLOT. This singular gear makes any unit a tank (more on tanks gear being useless later). A2: Quake engine/ibistik- now you have a tank (any character) that also throws out a ton of DOT damage, which means you have an extra character that doesn't limit you on offense (as a traditional tank would) A3: Any character is great here but I tend to use my "worst" character here (batgirl with ares/Lucy, Arkham catwoman with batgirl and HQ) this gives an extra punch from a character that is used to soak damage and now adds dot so they aren't useless on offense.

Now I have a tank that takes care of any RSGL team easily, as well as a counter to ninja catwoman with Astro.

Next I need a SP2 killer, this gets a little more complicated due to differences in characters, an example: I like In2 sups here with masters death cart, ras, and heart of darkness (could switch this for the 4th world mace) and I also like ninja bats with 4th world mace, cloak of destiny and ras or demonic cloak. If using any Harley Quinn she gets her revolvers, and lex Corp helmet and chest armor.

This provides a character that acts as a tank, but throws out huge damage (Harley being another counter to catwoman on a soft team health wise). Additionally all 3 of these characters (buffed for crits through augments) have great basic damage as well.

These two alone can win 90% of fights I am in. I have an astro character that deals tons of dots and an SP2 that one shots most anyone (Harley healing as she does it with less damage of course). So the 3rd person is simply to support but also geared to take advantage of an offensive strength (Arkham batgirl SP1, Deadshot SP1 etc.

That's it, no team will withstand any of those combos no matter how they are geared there is always a counter to a full team geared any way possible.

Teams: building teams is critically important TO WORK TOGETHER AND COMPLIMENT THE ENTIRE TEAM.

Killer Frost prime- most underrated character in the game, great passive and works well as the Astro tank with In2 sups and ninja bats (can also go with any team bc she is perfect for it).

Lucy/ares/batgirl prime- enough video out there to prove this teams worth

Arkham HQ, Catwoman, Batgirl- perfect team imo, catwoman throws dot like crazy, Harley heals and basic damage, batgirl sp1 kills everything else

SS team: Joker, HQ, deadshot, joker as the Astro, deadshot as SP2

Animated HQ, WW600, KFprime WW being the Astro

To sum this up, I see so many people talk about tanks, change the thinking of a tank to the Astro, let the tank actually be worth something on offense (4th world set being imo the most overrated gear for offense online.)

If anything needs clarification I'm glad to help, also keep in mind I don't have TT, Claws or the skythe but I have most of my online characters at or near maxed on crits (nothing done for health or damage bc it takes way too long for those) also I have all teams at EX except bane/ares/batgirl and the SS team, all are at E7
