Ranking all Jokers in Injustice IOS [Original]

Well, today we're playing with 4 packs of cards containing 8 jokers. But only one, deranged, chaotic clown can have the last laugh (Actually, 3 due to 3 tier lists !). Today, after ranking Superman and Bane, we've reached the notorious trickster who turned Superman into a murderer and killed endless people with his laughing gas...

Joker about to assault his enemies with the most deadly weapon of all time.

    The Joker.

There are 8 Jokers in Injustice IOS as of May 2020, 1 in silver, 6 in gold and 1 in Nth Tier.

Thus, there will be three tier lists, but the largest dedicated to the gold list.

Just like Bane, we'll also review his signature gears, Quake Machine and the Pistol

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Silver Tier - Well, there's only one card here. But he's a solid addition to any silver lineup.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    #1 - Joker Prime

Toxic Death: If The Joker is KNOCKED-OUT, his OPPONENT LOSES HEALTH.

    470 ATK/ 400 Health

Sporting a high base ATK shared with Bane Knighfall and modest HP for a silver card, Joker Prime has a nasty, toxic passive that triggers when he gets K.O.'ed. His passive, Toxic Death automatically removes 30% of the Max HP on the opponent that defeated him, and this makes him invaluable against bosses of any kind. He sports a strong 4 swipe heavy combo, a rare bonus not seen by a lot of the middle-tier gold jokers. His SP1, Bang ! is satisfying as a special, but can be easily blocked. His Laughing Gas SP2 contains Joker Gas that poisons the enemy for 15 seconds, reducing their damage by 20% due to the poison stat, but can be countered by simply tagging out. He has great synergy with Harley Quinn, such as her Arkham Knight form which she gains full power if Joker is knocked out, or her Animated form that grants super fast power generation and damage. Lord Joker counts any Joker as a gunner teammate, meaning with him, Joker Prime's specials can deal AoE damage to tagged out opponents. He's weak against resurrection characters like the Blackest Nights or Doomsday Prime whose K.O. will give him 50% HP, more than the 30% penalty loss.

Overall : Joker Prime is a solid silver card who can be an excellent throwaway card against tough bosses who will lose severe HP if they K.O. him. Buffing his basic attacks with gear like Overpowered 5-U-93-R will greatly enhance his heavy swipe combos, or enhance his special attacks with gear like Quake Engine so that he can keep gassing opponents with his Joker Gas. A good card overall.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Gold Tier - Here's where all the 6 Gold Jokers will be ranked. Note that #5 to #2 was actually incredibly hard to rank, and thus some of the choices may be more controversial than others. But it's just my opinion as always.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    #6 - Insurgency Joker

Last Laugh: When the Joker gets knocked out, his opponent LOSES HEALTH.

    750 ATK/ 850 Health

Insurgency Joker is a gold upgrade to his silver counterpart. Though his stats are relatively low due to being an old card, he still retains a lot of likable things. His passive is a buffed version of Prime Joker with his Last Laugh that removes 40% of an opponents HP when K.O'ed. He also has his like able 4 swipe heavy combo. Again, his SP1 is easily blocked, but his SP2 Acid Flower spurts toxic acid that deals DOT damage, and they take 10% more damage while dosed with the acid. Hawkgirl Prime counters this SP2 with quick tag ins and out, rinsing the acid off. I'd suggest buffing his basic combos with gear like Overpowered 5-U-93-R and the Soultaker Sword. Pair him up with Harley Animated for a huge power boost to unleash more Acid Flowers and even bronze Harley for a decent 25% damage boost.

Overall : Insurgency Joker is a great starter gold card with his heavy combos. He can deal with bosses with huge HP bars by simply getting K.O.'ed. He can stall with his heavy damage attacks and his HP, while low isn't the lowest. But he isn't designed around max HP, with his passive encouraging him to be K.O.'ed to benefit, but adding gear like the Fourth World Set can prolong his heavy damage, and then finishing the opponent with his Last Laugh ability.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

#5 - The Suicide Squad The Joker

Maniac: The Joker can't wait to show you his toys. A powerful random effect will occur on his SP1. Receives 10% less damage and deals 10% more damage for each additional Suicide Squad member on your team.

    1350 ATK/ 1350 Health

Suicide Squad Joker boasts powerful stats and a decent passive that relies on having the full Suicide Squad. With two suicide squad teammates, he deals 20% more damage and takes 20% less damage helping him last longer in battle. His SP1, Bang! has a neat, but insignificant bonus effect, with lifedrain, power draining, power gain or poisoning the target. Being a gunner teammate for Lord Joker, his specials will deal 20% AoE damage from his specials to tagged out teammates, and Animated Harley Quinn's extra power and damage. I'd suggest adding gear to boost his SP1 (or SP2) like the Ibistick, League of Assassins Adept Knives and the Lexcorp Gauntlets.

Overall : Suicide Squad Joker boasts excellent stats when paired with two other Suicide Squad teammates. Deadshot can even give him unblockable chances on specials. He does have a bad 2 hit heavy combo which isn't very useful. Still, a very good card that synergies well in Suicide Squad teams

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

#4 - Unhinged Suicide Squad The Joker

Unhinged: The Joker can't wait to show you his toys. A powerful random effect will occur on his SP1. After Joker defeats an opponent team member, he drives them insane and they will fight for you with reduced health. Can be triggered twice if using a team of 3 Suicide Squad characters.

    1400 ATK/ 1300 Health

This madman Joker has very good stats with a unique passive that reanimates K.O.'ed opponents by driving them insane with 35% HP. He can trigger this twice with a full suicide squad. His SP1 retains the status effects with his Bang! but the passive effects again aren't that significant, rather just helpful. With the help of Aquaman Prime, your team can spam minion teammates while they gain power when tagged out. Certain characters that are driven crazy, like Harley Quinn can use her bag of tricks, or Killer Frost who can rapidly slow down the opponent. Counters include Raven Prime who will swap HP if at low HP as Joker's specials only carry with one opponent at a time. Sinestro Antimatter can force out the insane minions with his SP1. Use gear that will speed up his ability to unleash specials to drive enemies insand faster, like Heart of Darkness and Fourth World Godly Helmet.

Overall : Unhinged Suicide Squad Joker has great stats with a powerful passive that can drive opponents insane. His SP1 can help whittle at the opponent with his status effects, and insane opponents can use their specials still, opening up a new form of gameplay.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    #3 - Killing Joke Joker

Joke's On You!: If The Joker is KNOCKED-OUT, his teammates' POWER is charged to FULL.

    950 ATK/ 750 Health

While not boasting the best stats of the Jokers, his passive is game changing. His passive, Joke's on You is a K.O. based passive that instantly fills your teammates power to maximum, allowing for maximum carnage. His SP2 Crowbar! can stun opponents, allowing for uninterrupted specials from teammates. Pair him up with Shazam Prime, and he'll decimate teams on online battle. Pair him up with Aquaman Regime and he'll drain all opponent power with his super, while Ares will trigger his God Smack disabling blocking on the opponent after his super. His passive also makes him fantastic against boss characters. Lord Joker will take pleasure in having his power filled by Killing Joke Joker as he unleashes a deadly SP2 AoE effect, while making Killing Joke Joker a gunner teammate. Be careful against characters like Rebirth Raven who instantly steal all power if her opponent has more than her or Hawkgirl Regime who temporarily disables specials. Make sure to get rid of the electric orbs from Black Adam before unleashing big specials. Any gear is fine to equip to this card. Pair him up with Harley Animated or/and Harley Arkham Knight.

Overall : Killing Joke Joker's stats may not be the best, but his passive is really game changing. Any team with him will be sure to manipulate his passive, unleashing deadly SP2's or super moves on any opponent unwise enough to K.O. Killing Joke Joker first !

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    #2 - Arkham Origins Joker

Contagious Laughter: Joker's Special Attacks inflict poison gas. The damage from the poison multiplies with every Arkham teammate.

    1150 ATK/ 850 Health

This monster of a Joker is relentless with two Arkham teammates. Why ? His passive unleashes toxic gas after any special attack, and this multiplies with each Arkham Origin teammate. Since his passive states any Arkham teammate, it can be either Arkham, Arkham Origins and Arkham Knight cards that fulfill this passive. It doesn't really matter that much if the opponent blocks the special, as the poisoning damage is really, really deadly. And, along with his 4 hit heavy combo and modest stats, this Joker will make your opponents laugh in despair ! Gear to equip ideally are power boosting ones, like the Heart of Darkness or/and life-saving ones like Astro-Harness to keep Arkham Origins Joker longer in the fight, unleashing tainted toxic attacks quickly ! Pair him up with Harley Quinn Animated for super quick power. Even if the teammate tags out, he can keep dropping deadly toxic attacks that will quickly end even beefy opponents. Some counters include Flash Blackest Night who thrives himself from DOT damage turning it into power and HP for his black night team, Aquaman Injustice 2 who can rinse DOT and x2 it back on Joker and Batman Arkham Knight who can negate DOT. Also, characters like Killer Frost who rapidly slow down power generation.

Overall : Don't be mislead into thinking that an older card is always worse than the newer cards. In this case, Arkham Origins Joker can poison targets to death with his deadly specials, with far more danger than the Suicide Squad Joker's SP1 effects. On the field, with his modest attack, 4 hit heavy combo and deadly toxins to bring to the battle, he's a harbinger of destruction... and that face clearly knows too.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    # 1 - Batman Ninja Lord Joker

Cult of the Demon King: When the Joker KO's an enemy, for 10 seconds his attacks deal 100% LIFEDRAIN and enemy LIFEDRAIN heals him. Gunner teammates' Special Attacks cause 20% damage to the opponents' tagged out teammates. Gunners are: Deadshot, Deathstroke, Harley Quinn, Lobo, The Joker.

    1500 ATK/ 1300 Health

He's called Lord Joker for a reason. And that smile... he knows he's on top. All hail Lord Joker !

Being the Lord of all Gold Jokers, this Joker uses his deadly passive and SP2 Slice and Dice to demolish an opponent and then potentially heal it all back. His passive, Cult of the Demon King grants him 10 seconds of 100% Lifedrain and also healing from enemy lifedrain on a K.O. With the help of Batman Ninja Batman, Lord Joker's supreme damage can deal crits more constantly and rapidly gain power from the 50% bonus power gain on crit hits. Being a gunner teammate himself, his SP2 can deal tremendous pain to even tagged out opponents. Gear should heavily focus around power generation and SP2, such as the Demon Cloak, Quake Engine, Fourth World Godly Mace (and it's full set), Lexcorp Chest Armour V2. With the help of Batman Ninja Batman and a power booster like Green Lantern Regime or Harley Animated, he'll annihilate all opponents, both worthy and unworthy of battle. His AoE damage from specials can punish characters like Superman Injustice 2 if he's tagged out, and negate his fellow relative Insurgency Joker/Silver Joker's HP reducing passives. But... the lord isn't completely immune, as Batman Ninja Batman (And just like the movie) is immune to lifedrain when outnumbered. His specials will only register K.O.'s on the final hit, so resurrection characters like Doomsday Containment will enjoy extra protection while Raven Prime can really mess up Lord Joker's day as her passive will essentially swap Jokers HP with her non-existent bar currently. Killer Frost will really slow his power gain, so try and make for it in teammates or/and gear.

Overall : Batman Ninja Lord Joker trumps the Gold list with his maddening passive, deadly stats and gear that demolishes most teams. He doesn't need DOT damage to sustain him, simply using deadly Slices and Dices to heal himself up to full, with the help of lots of deadly gear. Just know that his specials can't carry past that bar of HP, so it can't K.O. multiple enemies, and be aware of some of his weaknesses.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Nth Metal Tier List - There is only one Nth metal Joker in this list.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

#1 - The Batman Who Laughs

Wild Card: After a successful Special Attack, the Batman Who Laughs has a chance to choose a tarot card that triggers a powerful effect which can aid his teammates or harm the opponent. On teammate Tag-In, Savage Robin attacks the enemy and applies BLEEDING damage. [Evolved] Dark Power Specials increase the chance of using tarot cards and allow 2 cards to be selected.

    2800 ATK/ 2800 Health

With well rounded stats for a Nth metal card, the Batman Who Laughs unleashes his Savage Robins who savagely attack the opponent. He's similar to Darkside Apokolips with his Dark Racer on combo ender. The Savage Robins deal bleed damage and aid teammates when they tag-in by catching the opponent off guard. He's not the best Nth metal character, but pretty middle-grounded. He also has tarot cards after activating a special, and unlike Zatanna, all of them are good effects that can reduce damage taken, reflect damage like Black Adam, have a temporary K.O. shield, Steal power or/and Stun the opponent. If his dark power ability is active, he has the deluxe of choosing two tarot cards from a larger choice selection. Hawkgirl Prime allows this Joker to spam Savage Robins, while Animated Harley is always a good teammate for power gain. Batman Arkham Knight can also have his power stolen if this Joker pulls of a special and chooses the power drain tarot card. The Flash Darkest Night will enjoy the bleed damage however, feeding off it and aiding his Darkest Night team, Aquaman Injustice 2 can shrug the bleed too and double it back, while Gaslight Batman will always dodge the Savage Robins due to being a tag-in effect. Catwoman's bleed specials also amplify bleed damage.

Overall : This joker (Evil Batman) will make you laugh with his good stats, and bleeding mayhem with his endless army of Savage Robins. His tarot cards provide some unique helping effects, making him a cool and unpredictable opponent. A nice, well rounded Nth Metal character.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Quake Engine

This mystic ball of energy makes enemies Quake with fear !

The Quake Engine is a mysterious machine that really boosts Joker's specials.

    • His SP2 has a chance of costing no power at all (Like Superman Man of Steel).
    • Opponents with less than a bar of power also take more damage from specials.
    • DOT effects that finally expire can retrigger with a high to guaranteed chance (based on leveling) making cards like Arkham Origins Joker a really gas throwing monster on the battlefield.
    • Faster Tag In's, which can stack with Hawkgirl Prime for super fast switches, so Batman Who Laughs can send an endless swarm of Savage Robins to rip away !

Overall : The Quake Engine is great for all the Joker's. It really enhances his SP2 ability, so Lord Joker and infact, all Jokers will benefit greatly. The DOT is devastating from abilities like Acid Flower and Arkham Origins Joker, while the faster tag in is a helpful feature as well.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Pistol

But... the effects are nothing to laugh at.

While a far cry from the power of the Quake Engine, the Pistol is a cheaper, lower star gear that boosts Joker's SP1 and SP2. But it's far from the best signature gear in the collection.

    • SP1 gains a small damage boost
    • SP1 can temporarily disable enemy specials - Really Good !
    • SP2 has a small chance to power drain

Overall : Not the best gear for Joker. His SP2 is really his best special, and the power drain effect has a max 25% chance of occuring. His SP1 damage boost is quite small too. But, his SP1 disabling enemy specials is a really good lockdown effect. Only if it was on his SP2.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well, that was the Joker countdown, ranking all 8 Jokers from three card tiers and his two signature gears. Hope you all enjoyed reading.

    • Thanks to all the people on Injustice IOS Reddit for keeping the game a thriving and fun community. It really was a blast to make these countdowns, and I look forward to making more !

Do you ever get to the point where you fully promote the team you want to EX and all of your gear is also fully promoted, and then you’re just like... now what?

    Posted: 25 May 2020 12:17 AM PDT

I just promoted my Arkham Knight team to EX All of my gear is fully maxed out. I have multiple FX teams, and the other cards I have I either also have a lot of copies of, can't be promoted anymore without spending money (Arkham Origins Deathstroke), or I just don't care about.
Everything I've done for this game up until now, I was doing so that I can have the strongest team possible. Well, now I have the strongest team possible, and I thought I would be happy about it, but instead I just feel lost right now because I don't know what else to do in this game. Does anyone else feel this way? When you get to this point, what else do you do?

I haven't been playing as often as I normally do the last couple of weeks but came back on today to finish off the phantom zone. However I was noticing that in MP, 80% of the fights I was doing were against hacked teams. I haven't changed my team out so I can only assume that hackers are out in force all of a sudden.

    Gold Lex luthor or Nightwing?

    Posted: 24 May 2020 08:42 PM PDT

I've been playing the game for almost a week now, and im up to silver cards. I played this game in a friends mobile years ago, so i know my way in the game. I need a gold card who power drains, and which is better, Lex or Nightwing? Nightwing has the better combos, but his gold passive isn't as good as his silver and bronze counterparts(which i own, im a sucker for power drain heroes). Thanks to those who'll help!
