| Nightwing should have been sent to the Regime Universe instead of Batman Posted: 03 Jul 2021 02:13 PM PDT I think quite a lot of the games problems are fixed if it's changed from Prime Earth Batman to Prime Earth Nightwing. It fixes the problem of Bruce being too important since he is sharing screen time with Nightwing. Not making Batman the most important person to ever exist. It kinda ruins Batman's character if he is more important than everyone else. That's not what makes Batman interesting. It gives, Superman, Batman, Cyborg, Robin some interesting interactions that isn't possible with another Batman. They don't care that another Batman is here when Batman is still alive. You know what they would care about the guy that is dead that they were close friends with or Bruce having to talk to the son he failed to save. Nightwing gets his name from Superman. I can't believe the game didn't bring that up when they made Robin the new Nightwing. Imagine a scene where Superman realises the person who he helped turn into a hero is completely disgusted by who he has become. The ending works better when it is Nightwing bringing his earth's Superman in. That's a huge character flaw in every version of Batman. He doesn't really trust people. That prevents him from stopping Superman until his son proves him wrong because Nightwing doesn't have that problem. This universe positions Batman as the leader of the resistance but for Batman to become a leader. The problems that stop Batman being a good leader need to be addressed. Nightwing is more trusting that is what makes him a good leader to the titans. He wouldn't come up with a plan to injure them. I am completely biased in this because Nightwing is my favourite character but I think it would have made the story better. [link] [comments] | ||
